WiredTiger fragments: declared maps and image scanning
L2 reads image data through engineer-declared logical extents and can assemble pages across fragments. Holes remain missing rather than being replaced with zero-filled bytes presented as real source data.
L3 finds complete blocks within a bounded image range. Plaintext deep-fragment scanning separately retains BSON document candidates, fields and suspected structures. Multi-source cases freeze configurations and retain results independently without automatic collection attribution or business-record merging.
